Insight Global is seeking a Data Center Project Manager to work a long-term contract for one of our technology clients. This position will manage internal and external resources for the delivery of the Datacenter power infrastructure to align with datacenter capacity roadmap.
The Data Center Utility Power Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for the facilitation and delivery of industry-leading datacenter power infrastructure including the development of new technology and advanced concepts from pre-programming through design development, construction, and the turnover to Operations. This role will provide infrastructure coordination, management, and overall leadership for our datacenter power infrastructure. To be successful in this role the candidate will oversee the delivery of multiple, concurrent, complete distribution, substation, and transmission projects supporting datacenter solutions aligned with the scopes, schedules, and budgets of the projects.
The Design Manager will engage with key stakeholder groups as well as outside vendors who specialize in datacenter architecture and engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in consulting engineering or construction of substations.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as lead engineer, design manager or project manager of transmission or substation projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or 10 years' experience in substation design and/or delivery.
- Experience with Utilities
- Candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead teams of engineers in advanced engineering and operational processes and procedures as they relate to large datacenter environments
- change management experience
- Basic knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.
- Electrical Engineer / Professional Engineer is a plus.
- PMI or PMP certification preferred
$40/hr to $80/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
