CACI seeks a Systems Engineer (Embedded Hardware/Software Integration/Testing) doing Test Program Set (TPS) development within its Aerospace Solutions Group on the ATSSI II Program in San Antonio, TX. You’ll own your project from start to finish, collaborating with the program, customer, engineering, support, and documentation teams. Responsibilities include hardware design (electrical and mechanical), software development for automated testing, product integration, troubleshooting, and technical documentation, contributing to the sustainment of the U.S. Air Force fleet.
Responsibilities- Develop Test Program Sets (TPS) and other aviation test equipment throughout the product lifecycle, delivering on cost, scope, and schedule set by project managers.
- Assist the test system development teams with operational and functional allocation; develop software applications at the system and component levels; design, develop, and test hardware architecture; support requirements satisfaction and documentation.
- Design electrical circuits and allocate resources to ensure all test requirements are met and interfaces between test equipment and units under test are correct.
- Interface with customers regarding developmental efforts.
- Design and develop in a risk‑averse environment.
- Participate in design reviews and justify designs and developments.
- Develop systems to requirements and verify requirements compliance.
- Support product development through production.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent engineering degree.
- Five or more years of professional experience, including a blend of embedded systems engineering, software development, testing, or related roles.
- Professional experience with at least one of the following: C#, Python, ANSI‑C or another scripting language, NI product software (LabVIEW, CVI, Test Stand, etc.). C# or LabVIEW highly preferred.
- Experience reading electrical schematics.
- Experience designing electrical circuits.
- Expertise with digital multimeter, oscilloscope, closed‑loop servo systems, and AC and DC power supplies.
- Work onsite in San Antonio, TX.
- Willingness and ability to travel 20%.
- Willingness and ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.
- Experience with U.S. Air Force and/or Navy aviation maintenance organizational structure.
- Support equipment development in accordance with MIL‑PRF‑28800, MIL‑STD‑810, MIL‑STD‑461.
- Familiarity with government FAR and D‑FAR.Product life cycle management per IEEE 15288.
- Experience with PXI or equivalent technologies.
- PCB design (Altium or equivalent).
- Development of automated test systems (ATE) and test program sets (TPS) for aircraft, electrical, mechanical, avionics, and engine systems.
- Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Knowledge and use of ISO 9001, AS9100, or CMMI quality process standards.
$78,000 – $163,800. Salary depends on location, role, experience, and other factors.
