Project CoordinatorPRG is seeking a skilled Project Coordinator to join our Austin, Texas team. This role involves administrative office responsibilities, ensuring the execution of outside plant telecommunications construction projects.
Responsibilities- Manage and maintain engineering documentation, including as‑built drawings, splice records, fiber test result packages, and network design redlines.
- Process and distribute engineering work orders, construction packages, and field design deliverables to appropriate project stakeholders.
- Track permit submittals and follow up with city municipalities, utility companies, and Right‑of‑Way agencies on permitting status and issue resolution; coordinate scheduling and workflow between field engineering crews, construction teams, and client program managers.
- Enter and maintain project data in CRM and project management platforms (e.g., Smartsheet, GIS‑based tools); ensure records are current and accurate. Generate weekly and ad‑hoc reports on engineering activity, permit status, work order volumes, and project milestones for management review.
- Assist in the preparation and QA of engineering submittals, ensuring documents conform to client and PRG standards prior to distribution.
- Support invoice reconciliation by validating engineering deliverable counts against work orders and production logs.
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for project records, correspondence, and regulatory submittals.
- Identify and elevate data discrepancies, permit blockers, or documentation gaps to the Engineering Manager promptly.
- Perform other related administrative and coordination duties as assigned.
- Minimum two (2) years of administrative, coordination, or clerical experience in a telecommunications, utility, or infrastructure construction environment.
- Working familiarity with fiber optic or OSP construction workflows — including permit types, engineering documentation, and field‑to‑office handoff processes.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and/or Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) with project tracking tools such as Smartsheet is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and deadlines in a high‑volume production environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing with municipalities, field crews, and client contacts.
- High attention to detail in data entry, document management, and report generation.
- Ability to read and interpret basic engineering diagrams, work order packages, or construction drawings is preferred.
- Experience with GIS tools, mapping platforms, or OSP design software (e.g., Vetro, Salesforce, Comsof, or similar) is a plus.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
The role will require walking, climbing stairs, and performing physical tasks in an office environment.
