Security Electronics Engineer

This role is for a highly technical engineer who designs and supports advanced electronic security systems for facilities and infrastructure projects. The person will work closely with project managers, installation teams, and clients to build and maintain systems like surveillance cameras, PLC-based control panels, digital audio systems, and other integrated security technologies.

• Designing and developing security electronics systems based on customer and project requirements
• Supporting installation and commissioning to ensure systems are functioning correctly
• Traveling to job sites for assessments, inspections, troubleshooting, and testing
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues with security systems and electronic components
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, schematics, and troubleshooting guides
• Collaborating with internal teams to integrate systems into existing infrastructure
• Researching new security technologies and recommending improvements
• Meeting with clients to understand security needs and provide tailored solutions
• Managing multiple projects at different stages simultaneously

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing security electronics systems
• Strong knowledge of:
• PLC control systems
• Electrical circuits and electronic components
• National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Security system integration
• Network topology and design
• Ability to read and analyze technical plans and specifications

• PE (Professional Engineer) license
• Network+ or Security+
• CISSP (for security systems integration)

• Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

• Strong communication and client-facing abilities
• Self-driven and able to work independently
• Comfortable collaborating across teams and handling multiple projects under pressure
