Job Description & How to Apply Below

Osi Vision is seeking a highly resourceful and technically proficient Technical Point of Contact (POC) – Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, and Technical Operations. This pivotal role focuses on the management, sustainment, solutioning, and operational support for legacy systems, current production environments, emerging technologies, and mission-critical platforms supporting Department of Defense (DoD) customers, industry partners, and commercial clients.

The position serves as a primary technical and operational interface, addressing complex engineering, manufacturing, sustainment, logistics, and repair challenges while ensuring continued mission readiness through innovative reverse engineering, modernization, fabrication, supply chain management, and technical operations oversight.

The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous and data-scarce environments and possesses the ability to support both aging systems lacking OEM support and modern systems requiring advanced technical solutions, operational optimization, and sustainment strategies. This role also supports broader enterprise activities including logistics and supply operations, repair management, technical team leadership, manufacturing oversight, and supervision of integrated technical support functions as business requirements evolve.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Program Technical Leadership
  • Serve as the primary technical and operational Point of Contact (POC) for government, commercial, and industry stakeholders regarding manufacturing engineering, sustainment, logistics operations, production support, technical solutions, obsolescence management, and integrated mission support.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance supporting legacy platforms, active operational environments, modernization efforts, and emerging technologies.
Obsolescence, Sustainment & Modernization Management
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate material shortages or operational risks impacting legacy systems, active production systems, and evolving technical environments.
  • Develop lifecycle strategies supporting sustainment, modernization, repair management, capability enhancement, and long‑term operational readiness across multiple programs.
  • Support repair management activities including evaluation, refurbishment, redesign, modernization, and sustainment planning.
Advanced Manufacturing & Technical Solutions
  • Oversee prototyping and production activities including CNC machining, additive manufacturing, casting, fabrication, and engineering support for new production, modernization initiatives, sustainment efforts, and replacement solutions.
  • Develop innovative technical solutions addressing manufacturing optimization, operational efficiencies, repair processes, and mission requirements.
Logistics, Supply Chain & Operations Oversight
  • Manage logistics and supply operations supporting manufacturing, sustainment, technical services, and operational programs.
  • Direct procurement, inventory management, warehousing, shipping, receiving, and distribution activities for mission‑critical systems, components, and materials supporting both existing and emerging capabilities.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience:

7+ years of progressively responsible experience supporting DoD, Government, or complex commercial programs involving manufacturing, engineering, logistics, sustainment, repair management, technical operations, or integrated product support.
  • Technical Expertise:
Experience supporting legacy systems, active operational environments, and/or modernization initiatives preferred.
  • Proficiency:
Expertise in configuration management and manufacturing processes.
  • Communication:
Exceptional customer‑facing skills with the ability to deliver technical briefings, white papers, and presentations to high‑level stakeholders.
  • Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering. Combination of experience and certifications may also be considered in lieu of degree.
Language Skills
  • Technical Translation:
Ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Reporting & Presentation:
Outstanding client‑facing communication and presentation skills.
  • Documentation:
Ability to develop runbooks, training materials, and technical proposals.
Reasoning Ability
  • Problem Solving:
Ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems in ambiguous, data‑scarce environments.
  • Strategic Thinking:
Ability to develop and execute lifecycle strategies for legacy DoD systems, managing obsolescence risk and long‑term sustainment planning across multiple concurrent programs.
