Role Summary:

This role is ideal for a driven and experienced R&D Process Engineer with a passion for innovation. You'll be instrumental in bringing new specialty chemical products to market, from initial research to full-scale production. Your responsibilities will encompass:
  • Process Development & Scale-up: Leading and executing R&D projects, starting with bench-scale experiments and progressing through pilot plant trials to commercial-scale manufacturing.
  • Process Optimization: Designing and refining chemical processes using advanced techniques like reaction kinetics, process control, and simulation software.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with research scientists, technicians, production engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Safety & Quality: Prioritizing safety in all aspects of the work and ensuring adherence to strict quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Technical Communication: Effectively conveying technical information to various audiences, including management, clients, and other engineers.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment is essential. A proven track record in process development and scale-up is highly valued.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of reaction engineering, unit operations, and process control. Proficiency in data analysis and technical writing is expected.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for collaboration and project management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with chemical vapor deposition, high-temperature processes, and pilot plant startups is a significant advantage. Familiarity with materials characterization techniques is also beneficial.
  • Software Proficiency: Expertise in software packages such as ASPEN, MINITAB, and MS Office is preferred.
