- Develop and manage comprehensive proposals, schedules, and test plans for a wide variety of environmental testing projects with several overlapping at a time.
- Design custom tests and oversee custom and standard test execution, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Communicate effectively with technicians and customers, resolving issues and providing updates.
- Create high quality detailed test reports and analysis, leveraging tools like ANSYS for analysis and Solid Works for design work.
- Foster collaboration within the team to deliver innovative and high-quality testing solutions.
- Design and implement unique testing methodologies tailored to customer needs, often focusing on test standards such as UL, UN, IEC, MIL-STD, and ASTM.
- Draft, manage, and deliver testing proposals, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Prepare and present detailed test reports and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and manage test execution, budget, and scope, coordinating with technicians and addressing any issues that arise.
- Communicate proactively with customers about test progress, results, and troubleshooting measures.
- Perform business development activities for testing area of focus.
- Requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Industrial Engineering or similar engineering degree field with related experience.
- 5+ years:
Experience with technical writing and communication. Proficient in writing clear proposals and test reports. Strong verbal skills to communicate with customers. - 1-5 years:
Project management and testing familiarity. Able to manage test projects, execute projects, and troubleshoot issues. Able to use the tools associated with Project Management effectively. Knowledge of and operation under quality systems is preferred. - 5+ years:
Skilled in validating test data using tools like LABVIEW, MATLAB, or Excel. Ensures accuracy in test results. Knowledge of selecting test instrumentation and applying standards like MIL-STD-810 and IEC 60068. - 5+ years:
Designing, running, validating, or overseeing at least one (or a combination) of the following tests:
Vibration, Mechanical Shock, Seismic, Thermal, Temperature Cycle, Altitude, Weathering / Corrosion, and Water Ingress. - A valid/clear driver's license is required.
