We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Survey Technician to join our growing team in San Antonio, Texas. This position supports land surveying projects through field data processing, drafting, boundary research, and preparation of survey deliverables for residential, commercial, utility, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate is organized, technically proficient, and eager to grow within a collaborative surveying environment.
Responsibilities- Process and review field survey data collected from GPS, total stations, and laser scanning equipment
- Prepare boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction, and subdivision surveys
- Draft survey exhibits, plats, easements, and legal descriptions using CAD software
- Assist with deed and title research, boundary analysis, and record research
- Coordinate with field crews, project managers, engineers, and clients to support project execution
- Maintain project files and ensure deliverables meet company and client standards
- Assist with construction staking calculations and preparation of cut sheets
- Support quality control efforts and verify accuracy of survey data and mapping
- 1–5+ years of land surveying or survey drafting experience preferred
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, or similar survey software
- Understanding of boundary surveying principles and survey calculations
- Experience processing GPS and conventional survey data preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; surveying coursework or degree preferred
- SIT certification or pursuit of professional licensure is a plus
- Experience working on TxDOT, municipal, utility, or land development projects
- Familiarity with Texas surveying standards and procedures
