Facilities Planner
Supports infrastructure planning, requirements development, and cost estimating for Air Force basing and bed‑down actions. Ensures compliance with Department of the Air Force Instruction policies and Unified Facilities Criteria. Uses advanced analysis skills, extensive technical expertise, and industry knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop design and space criteria, recommend facility standards and construction milestones through space utilization studies and forecasts.
- Lead analyses and solution development for facility planning and project development for complex basing and posture requirements.
- Control and manage cost, schedule, risk, and resource optimization for projects.
- Prepare or review facility estimates and site proposals for client review, focusing on cost and feasibility.
- Advise customers in developing plans and programs responsive to portfolio, facility, or individual space requirements.
- Mentor and supervise team members as required.
- 10+ years of experience in civil engineering project development or management, including planning and programming assistance to strategic facilities planning, infrastructure sustainment, and infrastructure construction.
- Experience with infrastructure planning and design based on mission requirements, budget constraints, and technical specifications.
- Project cost estimating experience with Department of War or industry software and best practices.
- Ability to assist teams in identifying building and space requirements related to critical mission needs and platform requirements.
- Strong use of Microsoft SharePoint and Teams for collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred). EIT, PMP, Six Sigma, or similar certification a plus.
- Secret clearance required.
- Experience in Air Force Civil Engineering or equivalent Navy experience.
- Understanding of FSRM, MILCON, or NEPA processes.
- Knowledge of DAFI 32‑1084, PACES, BUILDER, Nex Gen, and Whole Building Design Guide.
- Knowledge of government policies and procedures.
- Modeling and simulation skills.
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

CompensationProjected salary range for this position is $61,900.00 to $ (annualized USD).
