Job Summary
ICT’s San Antonio office is looking for a personable Electrical Engineer to join a multi‑discipline design team. The role will also include business development, marketing, and project management duties.
General Duties- Responsible for the total electrical systems design for specific projects.
- Perform calculations integral to the electrical systems design.
- Be familiar with and apply applicable building codes and standards.
- Deal directly with clients/owners to determine specific project needs.
- As Project Manager, manage, direct, and supervise projects to assure compliance with time, quality, and communication commitments. Establish project schedules and expectations with clients.
- Assist market segment manager and team leader in manpower projections and scheduling of work.
- Manage, direct, and supervise electrical engineering staff to meet schedules and timely completion of projects. Schedule and lead electrical production staff meetings.
- Supplement ICT design standards and administrative procedures where needed.
- Learn ICT’s client base and services.
- Provide marketing support for project pursuits.
- Capable of increasing technical competency with experience and work ethic.
- Effectively communicate with architects, owners, and contractors.
- Work well independently and as part of a strong team.
- Excellent organization and time‑management skills.
- Design experience for commercial and/or healthcare buildings preferred.
- Willingness to build and maintain client relationships.
- Experience with healthcare facility design projects a plus.
- Experience using REVIT and related design platforms.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills essential for team‑based projects.
- B.S. degree in electrical engineering and 5 or more years of applicable experience in design/engineering of building electrical power systems.
- Texas PE certification preferred, not required.
- Project Management experience required.
- Knowledge of engineering theories and methodologies.
- Knowledge of project approach and system design.
