Chipton-Ross is seeking 26 Fleet Quality Inspector B's for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
* Minimum of 3 years of experience inspecting or working with aircraft electrical systems, electrical components, wiring, or related electrical installations.
* Minimum of 5 years of Aerospace Quality Inspection experience.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience performing product or process inspections.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprints.
* Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts.
* Regular and predictable attendance is a requirement of this request. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES The Executive Fleet Quality Inspector will be a part of the Client team specializing in Executive Fleet aircraft located in San Antonio, Texas. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
* Performs inspections of electrical systems, electrical components, wiring, and related aircraft electrical installations to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
* This inspector implements quality assurance and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations.
* Inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services, or operations for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing ongoing reviews of work for compliance with requirements.
* Ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner.
* Specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished.
* Communicates deficiencies to proper persons.
* Maintains Quality Assurance files.
* Documents results of all inspections. Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
* Electrical inspection experience on aircraft systems, avionics, wiring, or integrated electrical components.
* Experience working with large aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) inspections.
* Experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry.
* FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or sufficient experience to obtain an FAA Repairman Certificate.
* Experience with Client 7XX airplane and/or Military aircraft.
* Experience with Executive Fleet aircraft.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
* The candidate must be able to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35 pounds.
* Exposure to noise, working on elevated platforms.
* Use personal protective gear for face, eyes, ears, hand, and arms as required.
* Pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
* Read, write, and comprehend the English language.
* Handle, use, and dispose of hazardous material.
* Obtain & maintain training certifications as required to support assignment responsibilities.
* Occasional (1 to 3 hrs.) finger manipulation.
* On occasion, a 2-person lift may be necessary for weights greater than 50 lbs.
* Frequent reaching overhead (3 to 6 hrs.).
* Frequent walking on flat surfaces.
* Frequent standing flat or uneven surfaces.
* Frequent balancing on a ladder, steps, or uneven surfaces.
* Occasional climbing on 3-12 ft ladders or stands.
* Rotation of head/neck, sitting, crawling, squatting, bend/stoop, lying down, and operate foot controls for an extended period of time.
* Occasional contact with metals.
* Frequent exposure to noise. REQUIRED EDUCATION Accredited High School Diploma/GED.
WORK HOURS:
MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd or 3rd SHIFT. PER CLIENT:
