Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer III with a strong background in aircraft structures, aircraft structural modifications, military standards, and various metals/composites. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of mechanical design, analysis, and implementation within the aerospace/defense industry. This individual will be dynamic, focused on quality and adaptable.
They will also lead a multidisciplinary team of talented engineers, designers and drafters. The Senior Mechanical Engineer III will represent the Company and its values and will ensure that expectations are met by performing the following duties:
- Engineering

- Executive Leadership
- Has a high proficiency operating Auto Cad/Draft Sight, Solid Works, and Solid Works PDM or equivalent
- High proficiency with structural members, 3D mechanical routing, and large assemblies
- Takes the initiative to find innovative ways of solving complex design issues.
- High proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Can take on design problems and create designs/drawings with minimal guidance.
- Will provide training as needed to other engineers/designers
- Will review designs/drawings/documentation of other engineers/designers
- Has a working knowledge of UL, FAA, and Military standards
- Will be team oriented and able to take lead on projects in the group.
- Liaison with planning, production, and quality
- Reflects the Company’s values in all communications and activities.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written form, internally and externally.
- Proficient in troubleshooting methodologies.
- Motor control system experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Mechatronics Engineering
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the Aerospace industry
- In-depth knowledge of different metals, their properties, and applications for engineering design.
- Strong familiarity with military standards, parts, and fasteners.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, CATIA, AutoCAD) and structural analysis tools.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven track record in the design, analysis, and implementation of aircraft structural components and systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Is rigorous and data-driven in decision making.
