Staff Scientist

About the Role

Staff Scientist – Environmental Consulting Investigation and Remediation Group, San Antonio, TX. Minimum 0‑3 years of experience.

• Collaborate closely with group members, company, and clients.
• Assist with report writing and field activities including monitoring well installation, soil and groundwater sampling, advancing soil borings, product gauging and recovery, etc.
• Complete project work on time, on budget, and with minimal supervision.
• Help develop creative solutions for environmental problems.
• Build relationships with coworkers, clients, vendors, and partners.
• Develop solutions to meet client needs and expectations.
• Conduct PhaseI Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
• Oversee subcontractors such as drillers and remediation contractors.
• Assist with data tabulation and writing reports such as PhaseI ESAs, PhaseII ESAs, and other technical reports.

• Driven, analytical thinker, detail oriented and enjoys writing.
• Enjoys technical work and field work, including soil and groundwater sampling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good mechanical skills to use and troubleshoot environmental sampling equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Valid driver’s license and good driving history.

• B.S. degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; M.S. degree preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully in a team setting.
• Experience with verbal and written communication at all levels of an organization.
• Driven, goal‑oriented personality that seeks creative solutions to project execution.

Compensation Range: $50,000.00 - $74,000.00.
