EHS Specialist

Must be U.S. citizen for export purposes
Must be able to obtain secret clearance

Pay Rate: $62.50 to $78.35 (based on experience and education).

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and conduct health and safety audits to ensure company and OSHA compliance.
  • Support production operations through identification and mitigation of risk throughout aircraft modification schedule, serving as primary Environment, Health and Safety focal to the aircraft program.
  • Collaborate with other Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) personnel to ensure compliance with site and regulatory requirements associated with EHS programs.
  • Interfacing with various organizations and departments across the site.
  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver safety and health training; maintain and manage record‑keeping and reporting systems.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, technical analyses, and presentations for Operations and leadership.
  • Participate in incident investigations, audits, inspections, and corrective action tracking.
  • Evaluate the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations.
  • Identify and develop corrective action plans to respond to internal/external audits and inspections.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively on cross‑functional teams.
Skills & Technical Competencies
  • Anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control workplace hazards and risks.
  • Understand and recommend engineering, administrative, and PPE controls.
  • Documentation, Communication & Training.
  • Technical report writing with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Prepare and present professional briefings and training materials.
  • Develop and maintain record‑keeping and reporting systems.
  • Program and project management.
  • Perform effective project management for assigned occupational safety programs.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 5+ years of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
  • 3+ years industrial safety experience.
  • Experience codifying regulatory requirements into written procedures or desk instructions.
  • Experience working across multiple programs and locations.
  • Experience with aircraft operations preferred.
  • Prior experience in aerospace or MRO environments.
