Aviation Electrician
This role focuses on installing, terminating, and inspecting electrical connectors on aircraft systems while ensuring all work meets stringent aerospace and defense standards. You will interpret engineering drawings and wiring diagrams, perform specialized electrical tests, and troubleshoot connector-related issues in complex avionics environments. The position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of aircraft electrical installations.
Pay Range:
- Intermediate (Level
2) $30/hr.
- $40/hr. - Advanced (Level
3) - $40/hr.
- $50/hr.
Qualifications
- Level II:
At least 5 years of experience in avionics or electrical connector work. - Level III:
At least 8 years of experience in avionics or electrical systems with advanced connector expertise. - Active secret clearance, as required for access to the worksite and program.
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 or equivalent certification related to cable and wire harness assemblies.
- Experience with aircraft modification or depot-level maintenance activities.
- Experience in aviation, avionics, or aviation electronics environments.
- Experience working with electrical wiring harnesses and complex aircraft wiring configurations.
- Soldering experience in aviation or avionics applications.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and technical teams in a hangar environment.
- Willingness to work voluntary overtime when needed to support program schedules.
Work Environment
You will work inside a hangar at an onsite aerospace facility, supporting aircraft on the ground in a controlled maintenance and modification environment. The schedule typically runs Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with voluntary overtime available to support program needs. Work involves regular use of hand and power tools, test equipment for continuity and insulation resistance, and interaction with engineering and technical teams.
The environment follows strict security and safety protocols due to the nature of the program and the requirement for an active secret clearance. Attire and conduct must align with a professional hangar setting and all applicable safety standards.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
