Product Engineer

Design injection and blow molded parts for high volume manufacturing

Work from concept sketches and rough designs produced by Industrial Design and Manufacturing Operations

Design products for manufacturing and assembly (DFM), considering specifications for fit, form, and function

Analyze, thoroughly check, and detail all designs to ensure accurate fabrication of molds, tooling, and dies

Resolve problems in new and existing designs with innovative and cost-effective solutions

Independently identify cost reduction opportunities in products already in production

Represent Product Engineering as an active team member in the New Product Development meetings and process

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment

Ability and willingness to take ownership of project; ability to get the job done with minimal supervision

Manage international suppliers

Leads and mentors less experienced engineers

Some travel to vendor sites may occasionally be required

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or product design and development
• 3+ years CAD experience. Creo (Pro/Engineer), Solidworks and/or other 3D CAD software
• English language skills:
  Able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
• Math skills:
  Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide required along with an understanding of tolerance analysis
• Physical Demands:
  General office environment with some direct exposure to the manufacturing floor
• Work environment:
  Manufacturing floor is hot and humid in summer months and cold in winter months
• Detail oriented, innovative, and possesses good verbal communication skills
