Position: Structural Payload Engineer 5 with Security Clearance
Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Senior/Lead Structures Payload Engineer with experience in Blankets and Monuments Shipside Support Engineering - Interiors Development - in San Antonio, TX.
* The Interiors Development team is looking for an individual with experience in aircraft shipside support and blankets design.
* This position requires proficiency in shipside support, blankets design and discrepancy disposition, and factory shipside support. Familiarity with Client processes, aerospace defense platforms, and VIP modifications is desired.
* Position will require flexibility with factory demands, including alternate shifts as needed to support the factory.

- Provides oversight and direction to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.

- Leads development, maintenance and modification of structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.

- Leads performance, integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

- Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.

- Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.

- Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.

- Works under consultative direction.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide Design and Shipside Engineering services for a military platform for insulation designs, aircraft monument designs, change orders, and drawing revisions in Catia, Enovia, and IVT.
• Shipside Subject Matter Expert in Insulation Design, able to immediately contribute to the team's velocity of work products.
• Work is performed in San Antonio, Texas, in a controlled area and employee must have an active secret clearance.
• Work includes shipside support in an austere environment and includes climbing scaffolding and working inside a platform for shipside support, while modifications are in work.
