Responsibilities
Job Summary:
As a Process Engineer II, you'll focus on plant production throughput and OEE and lead process improvement activities. You'll support Plant teams in achieving superior self-manufactured products, develop and train others, and foster our commitment to achieve superior service levels.
- Process Excellence / Continuous Improvement:
Drives OEE and product throughput initiatives and improvements, and problem‑solving tools and techniques (root cause analysis) for use within assigned Plant(s). Collaborates to prioritize / execute process improvement initiatives, implements / drives operational standard compliance, fosters root cause elimination / zero loss mindset; supports the journey to zero accidents, zero food safety incidents, and zero manufacturing loss. Reviews capital projects during initial planning phases;
ensures consideration of process improvement methods. Develops / maintains material balances and unit operation capability information (value stream mapping, equipment centerlines). Evaluates existing capacity utilization; leads solutions based on short / long‑term needs. Drives integration of operational excellence pillars (e.g., AM, PM, E&T) with a strong focus on autonomous maintenance (AM). Leads Commission, Qualify, Verify (CQV) process for engineering project handoff to Operations. - Training /
Coaching:
Serves as SME on production analytics (e.g., MFG Execution System [MES]); trains others on system use. Shares lessons learned, best practices on unique applications of tools / techniques with assigned Plant operations leadership. Coaches leaders on current best approaches for PI tools; coaches / trains on PI principles and practices. Trains Partners to eliminate waste in processes and maximize throughput. Escalates critical training issues;
provides input on corrective and preventive actions. - The responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position. & Key Requirements
- Work Experience:
3+ years of experience in engineering, required operations, required continuous improvement, required process improvement. - Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Working knowledge of multiple job‑related areas (materials, tolerances and equipment specification, fabrication, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance) and Safe Quality Food (SQF). - Required Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Education:
A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience. - Required Licenses/Certifications.
Travel by car or plane with overnight stays. Stand, stoop, walk, bend, and climb (expected) with or without accommodations. Climb ladders or stairs to gain access to rooftops and elevated work platforms. Work in / around industrial facilities (e.g., food, manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, electrical less than 600 V, and refrigerated); work on wet, slippery production floors (e.g., water, product, chemicals); work around gaseous materials (e.g., cleaning and sanitation agents, ammonia).
Work in inside temps ranging from
-35 to 130 degrees and with noise levels ranging from normal to 100 dB. Lift 50 lbs. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Partner encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
