Job Description
Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) in San Antonio seeks an Associate Industrial Engineer to support maintenance, modification, and upgrades of Mobility, Surveillance and Bomber programs (MS&B). The role involves reviewing resource allocation, analyzing productivity, and maximizing production while minimizing cost to support program success.
Primary Responsibilities- Schedule work plans, data analysis (historical, trends, and production impacts), staffing, and process improvements.
- Assist in developing shop floor operating schedules, capacity planning, and spreadsheets for data analysis (e.g., statistics and operations research).
- Provide summary analysis and metrics for consultation to internal customers at various levels.
- Research, design, develop, improve and implement processes to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality through Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts.
- Utilize engineering methods to develop optimal process designs and efficient resource utilization (facilities, personnel, materials, equipment) in creation and validation of products.
- Interact with employees to gather data for process improvements, including observing and documenting processes and collecting data in manufacturing areas or on aircraft during production phases.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
- At least 2 years of related experience.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
- Ability to walk, stand, and enter aircraft via steps or ladders; willingness to work near chemicals in the factory when needed.
- Knowledge of aircraft modifications or production environments.
- Experience with 3D CAD tools.
- Experience with wire bundle fabrication concepts, wire installation, electrical equipment installation, and wiring provisions in a modification environment.
- Industrial Engineering experience in a factory setting, familiarity with manufacturing operations, manufacturing planning, engineering drawings and specifications, lean concepts (certifications preferred).
- Experience working with data sets from SQL Server or Oracle.
- Experience in Aurora modeling.
This position is 100% onsite in San Antonio, TX and requires a US Top Security Clearance/Yankee White; US Government requires US Citizenship. A U.S. Secret Clearance Post‑Start is required.

Salary range: $83,300 – $112,700. Applications accepted until Jul. 17, 2026.
