Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Experienced
Procurement Field Representative to join our Supplier Management Team in San Antonio, Texas
.

• Monitors emergent offload/overload suppliers including processors, philanthropic, machine shop and sheet metal shop to ensure schedule compliance and product conformity.
• Identifies, establishes and maintains priorities for deliveries of products, services and data that support necessary supplier contractual corrective actions and resolution of issues (e.g., poor schedule performance, product and producibility issues) to ensure contractual compliance.
• Communicates across functions (e.g., procurement agents, suppliers, internal customers, field quality, engineering, manufacturing) to report status and concerns.
• Co-facilitates with the supplier the development of a recovery plan and unplanned demand requirements.
• Identifies needs for training on business and manufacturing practices (e.g., requirements interpretation and clarification, contractual compliance, scheduling tools, technical skills, self assessment) to supplier personnel for improvement or enhancement delivery performance.
• Participates with the procurement agent in on-site supplier assessments (e.g., Preferred Supplier Certification, Proof of Process and Rate Readiness) to identify supplier capacity and capability to perform current and projected work statement and support Boeing procurement strategy.
• Monitors suppliers' performance-to-plan to ensure compliance to contractual requirements and provides status back to supervisor and procurement agent.
• Identifies and communicates opportunities to implement new processes or improves existing processes and reports back to management and make recommendation to procurement agent.
• Assesses supplier resource plan and reports results to supervisor/procurement agent. Supports work movement as requested by supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in San Antonio, Texas.

• 3+ years of experience with aircraft production or maintenance
• 1+ years of experience in Lean Manufacturing
• 1+ years of experience in data analysis and Root Cause Corrective Action
• Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience
• Airplane interior and airplane systems knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
• 1+ years of experience working in Manufacturing Operations
• 1+ years or experience in Project Planning;
  Scheduling;
  Project Management
• 3+ years of experience in velocity radars and IVT
• Knowledge of the Boeing production system
• Able to access and interpret Boeing airplane drawings, procedures, and Processes
• Work experience using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
