As an Electrical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) at Walker Partners, you will work alongside our experienced civil engineering teams and M.E.P. partners to play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and delivery of a variety of water and wastewater engineering projects across Central Texas.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design of electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and related infrastructure to produce construction documents
  • Evaluate existing electrical systems and develop practical, cost-effective improvements to support facility rehabilitation or expansion
  • Support preparation of electrical plans, construction specifications, and engineering calculations
  • Conduct on-site observations of construction progress
  • Interface with SCADA design professionals
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering design
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit
  • Familiarity with electrical modelling software such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or Easy Power.
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills
  • Ability to travel frequently to job sites and other Walker Partners offices
