A nationally recognized engineering consultancy is seeking a Project Engineer to join its growing Water Resources team in San Antonio. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to work on a diverse portfolio of drainage, stormwater, flood mitigation, and municipal infrastructure projects across Texas.
You'll work alongside experienced technical leaders, support project delivery from concept through construction, and play a key role in helping communities improve their resilience to flooding and aging infrastructure challenges.

You'll work alongside experienced technical leaders, support project delivery from concept through construction, and play a key role in helping communities improve their resilience to flooding and aging infrastructure challenges.
Responsibilities- Support the planning, design, and delivery of water resources and public infrastructure projects.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for drainage and floodplain management studies.
- Prepare engineering reports, calculations, design plans, and technical specifications.
- Develop stormwater management and drainage solutions for municipal and transportation projects.
- Coordinate with clients, agencies, and internal project teams.
- Assist with project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Support business development efforts and proposal preparation as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- PE license in Texas, or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- 4 to 8 years of experience in water resources, drainage, stormwater, or public works engineering.
- Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, Info Works ICM, or similar modeling software.
- Proficiency with Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and project coordination skills.
- Experience working with Texas municipalities, counties, TxDOT, or river authorities is preferred.
- Flood mitigation and watershed studies.
- Urban drainage and stormwater improvement projects.
- FEMA floodplain analysis and mapping.
- Municipal capital improvement programs.
- Roadway drainage and transportation-related water resources projects.
