Objectives of this Role:Assemble and refine electromechanical prototypes with practical skill in system integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced assemblies.
Assisting in specialized fabrication and assembly techniques. Includes system integration of complex designs with process/procedure writing.
Adhere to technical specifications and safety protocols.
Contributing input for improvements throughout the lifecycle of projects.
Address complex issues in fabrication/assembly across various domains-mechanics, optical systems, packaging, electronics & more.
Supervision of subordinate technical support staff on specific tasks to effectively complete project objectives is preferred.
Collaborate in the design and refinement of fabricated components, ensuring prototypes meet both visual and functional specifications.
Assist as needed with logging test data and computer related activities.
Safe operation of the technical equipment, storage of tools, storage of hazardous materials (lubricants, batteries) and troubleshooting test set failures.
Collaborate with technicians and engineers on a daily basis.
Adhering to industry best practices and capturing progress in fabrication and testing.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex test and mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance based on provided system requirements.
Support design, assembly, and testing, utilizing skills such as hands‑on assembly, casting, detailed painting, and fabrication to ensure components meet design and quality standards.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Active security clearance required.
- 5-10 years:
Proficient skills in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment and assemblies. - 5-10 years:
Demonstrated strong organization skills and attention to detail, effective communication, proper use of tools and equipment, and execution of technical procedures. - 5-10 years:
Experience in team leadership, adherence to safety protocols, and hazardous materials handling. - A valid/clear driver's license is required.
