Are you a
Civil
Water/Wastewater Engineer
with experience in design and construction oversight of water and wastewater infrastructure? Our client is a mid-sized, multi-discipline, employee-owned consulting engineering firm that prides itself on building deep relationships with its customers. Our water group in San Antonio & Austin, Texas is growing and seeking collaborative Water/Wastewater Engineers to join our hybrid team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform assignments in the analysis and design of water and wastewater systems.
• Prepare and review working drawings, details, layouts, cost estimates, studies, reports and work products.
• Provide construction support and oversight, including administration, limited inspection, document review for design conformance standards, and support for municipal water and sewer operations and maintenance.
• Perform independent design tasks, review designs by others, and prepare bid documents, including drawings and specifications.
• Organize drawings, reports, calculations, and associated project deliverables with limited supervision (After receiving initial instructions from project manager).
• Make sound engineering decisions, exercise initiative and judgment, and possess in- depth industry knowledge.
• Interface with clients and local, state, and federal government agencies.
• Lead project progress meetings, make project presentations, and provide clear written communication.
• Some travel may be required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (ABET Accredited).
• Minimum four (4) years of experience in the design and construction oversight of water and/or wastewater systems.
• Ability to become knowledgeable of and apply procedures when required.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under insurance carrier
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with any of the following:
• Water/Sanitary Sewer modeling
• Bio Win Modeling
• GIS Systems and Programs
• Water and wastewater systems
• Public works design experience with local, State and Federal governments is a plus.
• Local candidates preferred
