As a Venue Associate, you will perform a variety of roles to ensure the smooth operation of our events and provide an exceptional experience for all guests. This multifaceted position includes responsibilities such as usher, porter, stagehand, security, ticketing, box office, and merchandise seller. The ideal candidate is adaptable, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions
  • Greet and assist guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Guide patrons to their seats, ensuring they find their designated areas efficiently.
  • Provide information about venue amenities, event schedules, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor seating areas to ensure compliance with venue policies and ticket requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the venue, including lobbies, restrooms, seating areas, and backstage spaces.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and waste removal before, during, and after events.
  • Restock supplies in restrooms and other areas as needed.
  • Report maintenance issues or hazards to supervisors promptly.
  • Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of stage equipment, including lighting, sound systems, and props.
  • Support performers and production crews by moving equipment, setting up backdrops, and ensuring stage readiness.
  • Follow technical instructions and safety guidelines during load-in and load-out processes.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless event execution.
Security
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and event spaces to ensure guest and staff safety.
  • Check tickets, credentials, and bags to prevent unauthorized access or prohibited items.
  • Respond calmly and effectively to incidents, conflicts, and emergencies, following venue safety protocols.
  • Patrol the venue to deter disruptive behavior and maintain a secure environment.
Ticketing
  • Scan tickets at entry points and verify their authenticity.
  • Assist guests with ticket-related inquiries, such as seating assignments or upgrades.
  • Manage entry flow to prevent overcrowding and ensure a smooth guest experience.
  • Report ticketing discrepancies or issues to the box office team.
Box Office
  • Process ticket sales, exchanges, and refunds using ticketing software.
  • Answer guest inquiries regarding event details, pricing, and availability.
  • Handle, credit card, and digital payment transactions accurately.
  • Maintain organized records of sales and report any discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Set up and manage merchandise booths, displaying items attractively and restocking as needed.
  • Process merchandise sales using point-of-sale systems and handle payments securely.
  • Engage with guests to promote merchandise and answer questions about products.
Required

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service, event operations, or a related field is a plus but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse guests and team members.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with the role, including standing for extended periods, lifting items up to 50 pounds, and engaging in manual activities as needed to support event operations.
  • Basic computer skills for operating ticketing and point-of-sale systems.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach.
