The Financial Analyst will work directly with our Executive Team on high-impact special projects, gaining invaluable exposure to strategic decision-making and business growth initiatives. Responsibilitiesof the Financial Analyst
As a Financial Analyst at Principle Automotive, you will play a key role in evaluating new business opportunities, vendors, and operational processes to determine their financial viability and projected ROI. You will conduct deep financial analysis and modeling, assessing risks and opportunities across potential new verticals to drive data-backed decision-making. Your insights will shape business expansion strategies, optimize existing processes, and ensure investments align with long-term profitability goals.
Additionally, you will report on expected vs. actual business performance, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for cost savings or revenue growth. This role requires a sharp analytical mindset, financial acumen, and a proactive approach to uncovering business opportunities while working directly with senior leadership and the CEO on high-impact projects. Further responsibilities include:
- Business & Market Evaluation:
Analyze new business verticals, vendors, and investment opportunities, providing financial projections and feasibility assessments. - ROI Analysis:
Develop and maintain ROI models to assess financial viability, comparing expected vs. actual performance over time. - Financial Modeling:
Build and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making. - Data-Driven Insights:
Identify trends, inefficiencies, and growth opportunities by analyzing operational and financial data. - Vendor & Process Assessments:
Evaluate new vendors, services, and process improvements, ensuring cost-effectiveness and strategic fit. - Reporting & Presentations:
Prepare and present financial reports, recommendations, and performance analysis to senior leadership. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with executive leadership, finance, and operations teams to align financial strategies with company goals. - Strategic Planning:
Support long-term financial forecasting, budgeting, and business planning. - Advanced Excel & Analytics:
Expert in Excel, pivot tables, and financial forecasting tools to analyze large data sets. - Sense of Urgency & Ownership:
Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and provide real-time insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in financial analysis, banking, or a related role.
- Intermediate to Advanced-level Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, and modeling).
- Experience with forecasting, data analytics, and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to work long hours when needed, with a strong sense of urgency.
- This position is onsite in San Antonio, Tx and not eligible for remote work.
