Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Supply Chain Operations Finance

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Infrastructure Supply Chain team. The role combines strategic analysis, complex financial modeling and cross‑functional collaboration to drive supply chain optimization.

• Build, run, and maintain complex financial models for AWS infrastructure commodity planning and derive key financial insights.
• Conduct supply‑chain variance analysis on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis and communicate results to AWS FP&A and senior management.
• Develop ad‑hoc business analyses and present recommendations to senior management.
• Collaborate with business partners and co‑lead optimization projects, influencing decisions through data‑driven analysis, reporting and metrics.
• Serve as a finance partner working with cross‑functional teams to provide actionable insights and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with controls and systems; develop new processes to support the fast‑growing, global AWS business.
• Partner with Accounting, Supply Chain, and Finance to enforce controls and propose process improvements.

• 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field, or a Bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years of quantitative experience in engineering, process re‑engineering, or quality assurance.

• 4+ years of participating in continuous‑improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
• MBA or CPA.
• Knowledge of Tableau.
• Experience with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools such as SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos, and financial systems like Oracle, SAP, Lawson, or JD Edwards.
• 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
• 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data mining and business intelligence.

Base salary: $82,700.00 – $ USD annually (Seattle, WA). Compensation includes sign‑on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and benefits.
