Responsibilities
The Lead Technical Business Analyst will analyze complex, non‑IT business problems related to credit card originations and credit risk strategy, partnering with product, strategy, and risk teams to evaluate data‑driven opportunities, define requirements, and recommend changes that improve portfolio performance and profitability.
- Analyze large credit card datasets to evaluate credit strategy performance and risk outcomes
- Assess historical trends and model the impact of changes to credit rules (e.g., FICO score thresholds)
- Develop financial frameworks to assess profitability, risk exposure, and ROI
- Translate analytical findings into clearly documented business and technical requirements
- Author and document proposed credit rules and strategy changes for downstream teams
- Partner with product and strategy stakeholders to align analytical insights with business objectives
- Support ongoing conversion of analytics work from SAS to Python
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or another quantitative field
- Strong SQL and SAS experience
- Hands‑on Python experience (required)
- Experience in bank credit risk management
- Proven background in data analytics and quantitative analysis
- Experience working in large banks or fintech organizations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in documenting complex analytical outputs
- Prior exposure to credit card portfolios (strongly preferred)
- Credit card originations or first‑line risk experience
- Ability to operate independently in a lead‑level analytical role
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
