What You Will Do

The Portfolio Manager I will ensure early identification of risk in the credit through review of gathered documentation. Analyzes financial statements, industry risks, collateral, credit structure for possible deterioration in the overall credit risk profile of the borrower. Review loan documents comparing them to the approved CAM to ensure loan documents are executed in accordance with the CAM and loan policy.

Assist Portfolio Manager II/III or Supervisor in preparation of CAR/Watch Reports for credits that are risk rated Pass Watch, participate in CAR/Watch meeting(s). Review and make recommendation for resolution of covenant violations or needed modifications/forbearance including oversight and review of necessary documentation. Manage assigned commercial loan portfolio exceptions through customer contact to ensure delivery of financial statements, tax returns and other required financial information under the loan agreement and ongoing servicing of the credit.

Review and ensure documents are uploaded to the document repository and ensure ticklers are appropriately maintained. Monitor and collect delinquent loans in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.

What We Require

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent experience. A minimum of two (2) year of commercial portfolio management or commercial credit underwriting or four (4) year’s comparable combination of portfolio management, underwriting, and loan administration experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience with commercial loans and underwriting may meet qualifications. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, plus a good understanding of the Internet environment.

Excellent planning and time management skills as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills including verbal, written, and presentational skills. Able to work with all levels of management. Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to meet and manage critical deadlines and assist with project management. Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a high-volume environment. Take initiative and make independent decisions in the best interest of the Credit Union and Member.
