Job Description
The role supports Bank of America’s Small Business Banking team by delivering comprehensive financial solutions to small businesses with annual revenues up to $20 million. The Sr. SME will manage the end‑to‑end client journey, deepen relationships with high‑value prospects, grow profitability, and acquire new opportunities through prospecting, networking, and building referral sources.
Responsibilities- Manage the end‑to‑end client journey to deliver on client needs and drive sales opportunities while mitigating risk.
- Identify and refer specialized small business opportunities and solutions to clients while conducting relationship reviews.
- Deliver a branded customer experience, spending a minimum of 80% of time in the field.
- Foster relationships with key partners (Merchant, Practice Solutions, Treasury, Business Banking) to increase opportunities.
- Leverage credit knowledge to advise owners on solutions, services, and digital capabilities.
- Support execution of the sales delivery model to achieve targeted performance and growth of the Small Business segment.
- Coaching and developing associates while embodying a client‑centric culture.
- Proven success in consultative sales in financial services or B2B sales.
- Demonstrated ability to improve financial outcomes through statement interpretation and levers.
- Passion for outside sales and prospecting.
- Strong analytical skills in client financial conditions and industry trends.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated leadership and client‑centric culture.
- Experience partnering and negotiating with bank teams to solve client issues.
- Portfolio management experience with focus on relationship development.
- Thorough knowledge of small business financial products and services.
- Familiarity with CRM and banking systems.
- Community leadership experience.
- Strong computer and multitasking skills in demanding environment.
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or economics, or seven years relevant work experience.
- Client Experience, Branding, Management, Solutions, Advisory, Customer Focus, Pipeline Management, Credit Documentation, Financial Analysis, Oral & Written Communications, Coaching, Interpret Relevant Laws, Prospecting, Risk Management.
Minimum education:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience. Shift: 1st shift (US). Hours per week: 40.
