Commercial Lender

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lender to join our dynamic team of four lenders at a growing community bank in South Central Texas. This role offers the opportunity to originate, manage, and grow commercial relationships, supporting local businesses and contributing to the economic development of the region.

• Originate and manage commercial loans for small to mid-sized businesses.
• Analyze financial statements and structure loans that meet client needs and bank policy.
• Underwrite loans and manage credit risk in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional service.
• Work closely with internal teams to monitor loan performance and portfolio health.
• Participate in community networking and events to generate new business opportunities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial lending experience with a track record of success.
• Strong knowledge of C&I, CRE, and SBA lending.
• Excellent financial analysis, relationship management, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to generate new business through community involvement and networking.
• High integrity, professionalism, and commitment to excellent customer service.

• Competitive base salary: $130,000–$180,000, depending on experience.
