Loan Officer Associate
The Loan Officer Associate assists Loan Officers while developing the skills and knowledge required to become a Loan Officer. The role includes online and classroom education, operational training, and hands‑on experience assisting Loan Officers and Division Managers.
Responsibilities- Participate in formal training programs covering lending, loan types, credit assessment, and the loan approval process.
- Train with the manager on mortgage rate sheets to accurately price and lock loans.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports to understand the overall mortgage process from application to closing.
- Complete mortgage licensing tests and obtain any required state licenses.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of RESPA through continuing education courses.
- Update loan applications with missing data and maintain notes in the Loan Origination System.
- Support lender and realtor functions to develop and maintain relationships and assist with local marketing campaigns.
- Provide borrower support through phone, email, or chat, acting as the primary contact between borrowers and Loan Officers.
- Assist processors and closers in procuring loan documents from borrowers and other entities.
- Collaborate with internal associates via phone, email, or chat and provide prompt responses.
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; BA or BS preferred.
- Mortgage or banking experience (preferred).
- Experience articulating product or service features, benefits, and value.
- Genuine passion for exceeding customer satisfaction.
- Exceptional organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
