The Opportunity

As a dedicated Capital Markets Analyst Senior you'll serves as a mentor to peers and team members and performs complex work assignments and problem resolution to optimize utilization of USAA's capital and liquidity by managing access to the external capital markets and leading efficient execution of capital market transactions and relationships for all USAA entities including the areas of capital markets reinsurance, asset securitization, debt issuance, committed credit facility and bank relationship management.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position is based in San Antonio, TX. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

* As a primary point of contact, completes transactions for a specific capital transaction type or line of business (ex. auto loan securitization, credit card securitization, catastrophe reinsurance, debt issuance, credit facility and bank relationship management, or rating agency relationship management).

* Demonstrates expertise to be primary point of contact for any capital transaction type or line of business.

* Leads entire capital markets transaction process for at least one type of capital market transaction, including offering documents, underwriting decisions, selecting and pricing assets for securitization, assess risk and model securitization cash flows, managing approvals, relations with internal and external stakeholders, and due diligence responses.

* Provides input into other securitization underwriting processes.

* Negotiates price, terms and conditions of transactions and oversees document, memorandum, and statement preparation.

* Directs work efforts to maintain, inventory, and service debt covenants and restrictions and produce reports.

* Leads debt ratings process and potential risk evaluation process.

* Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

* Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.

* 6 years of finance, treasury, capital management, capital markets experience or CFA and 4 years of finance, treasury, capital management or capital markets experience.

* Advanced knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques to include relevant job-related technical knowledge.

* Ability to effectively work with both internal and external partners.

* Proven communication skills required of relationship management with internal and external contacts.

* Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications.

What sets you apart:

* US military experience gained through military service or gained as a military spouse / domestic partner.

* Experience working in Banking or Insurance industry.

* Knowledge of capital management, liquidity management, or regulatory capital frameworks within banking or insurance organizations.

* Experience interacting with rating agencies, investment banks, institutional investors, or reinsurance counter parties.

* Ability to cultivate executive-level relationships that influence strategic direction, accelerate decision-making, and support enterprise-wide initiatives.

* Ability to serve as liaison to build consensus among diverse stakeholder groups by leveraging strong communication, negotiation, and influence skills.
