Job Summary:
Protects assets by ensuring compliance with internal control procedures, and regulations. The focus of this position is the reviewing and auditing of final breakdowns. High level of attention to detail in writing is required; proofreading or editing skill set is a plus. Must have ability to manage deadlines with multiple priorities, work under pressure, and appropriately handle confidential information. Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of personnel in the firm.
Must appreciate high volume in a fast-paced environment. The Breakdown Auditor will perform general accounting tasks as necessary.
Essential Functions:
- Reviews and audits all breakdowns before client checks are written.
- Must comply with required performance metrics.
- Create and/or maintain meticulous records, spreadsheets, and files.
- Analyze and complete final settlement breakdowns.
- Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
- Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation.
- Strong communication with attorneys is required to complete audits when errors are discovered.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Preferred
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in related field with work experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Salesforce experience a plus (or other CRM)
- Experience with a variety of office equipment
