The Large Loan Consultant plays a key role in Lift Fund’s mission by supporting the processing and closing of large loan transactions, including SBA 7(a) CA SBLC loans, in a timely and compliant manner. This position ensures operational efficiency and excellent customer service through diligent process management, collaboration with internal teams, and direct communication with clients.
As a front-line representative of the Lending Department, the Large Loan Consultant supports process improvements, and ensures SBA loan files meet SBA SOP, and internal policy requirements. This role contributes to the successful deployment of Lift Fund’s financial products and services while upholding quality, speed, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and deliver client checklists detailing required documentation for SBA 7(a) CA SBLC and other large loan programs.
- Work directly with clients and relevant internal teams to collect, verify, and submit checklist items in a timely manner.
- Review client-provided documents for completeness and accuracy, and SBA eligibility compliance.
- Package SBA 7(a) CA SBLC loan files in accordance with SBA SOP and Lift Fund internal policies.
- Process SBA 7(a) CA SBLC loans from post-approval through closing, ensuring all SBA-required documentation, forms, and verifications are completed accurately.
- Ensure required verifications such as IRS transcripts are completed per loan program requirements.
- Reviews credit history reports.
- Maintain accurate, compliant, and complete loan files throughout the lending lifecycle.
- Proactively manage loan files to meet deadlines and ensure efficient closings and disbursements.
- Input and update client and loan information in Lift Fund’s loan origination system.
- Generate and manage loan-related forms and documentation according to program guidelines, including SBA specific forms and certifications.
- Serve as a front-line resource for Loan Consultants.
- Participate in cross-functional efforts to develop and deploy new products and processes, including SBA program updates.
- Train and support lending staff on documentation, systems, and process workflows.
- Manage accurate data entry and document upload in the CRM platform.
- Contribute to process evaluations aimed at improving Lift Fund’s operational effectiveness and customer service.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, procedures, and SBA regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of experience in financial analysis, loan processing, or a similar role.
- Two (2) years of experience using client relationship management (CRM) platforms or loan systems.
- Experience in loan processing, documentation review, or lending support preferred.
- Experience packaging or processing SBA 7(a) loans, including SBLC loans, strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of SBA lending or other government-backed loan programs is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal teams and clients.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive, professional demeanor.
- Experience with client relationship management (CRM) platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong critical thinking and financial literacy skills.
