Diesel Barbershop is hiring an Assistant Shop Manager to help lead one of our busy, high-energy locations.

We’re looking for a licensed Barber or Cosmetologist who loves working with clients, enjoys helping others succeed, and is ready to take on more responsibility without giving up time behind the chair.

This is a working leadership role where you’ll continue building your clientele while helping support training, team performance, guest experience, and daily shop operations.

Unlike many management positions, you’ll continue doing what you do best—cutting hair, building relationships, and creating loyal clients—while developing valuable leadership experience with a growing men’s grooming brand.

• Deliver exceptional men’s haircuts, fades, beard trims, and grooming services
• Conduct thorough consultations and recommend services based on client needs
• Build client loyalty through outstanding customer service
• Drive rebooking, retention, and retail sales

• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members
• Support daily coaching and performance accountability
• Help maintain Diesel’s service standards and shop culture
• Lead by example in professionalism, reliability, and guest care

• Support front desk operations and appointment management
• Help manage daily shop flow and team productivity
• Assist with opening, closing, and operational procedures
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment

• Active Texas Barber License or Cosmetology License
• Experience with men’s haircuts, fades, beard grooming, and styling
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Leadership or management experience preferred
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
• Available to work evenings and weekends
