Behavior Support Provider – Caregiver
Caregiver, a leading Texas-based provider of services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), is seeking a Behavior Support Provider to support clients with individualized treatment plans and help them live their best lives.
Position SummaryThe Behavior Support Provider will deliver direct services, develop and monitor behavior support plans, and collaborate with treatment teams to ensure compliance with Texas Administration Code, HHSC guidelines, and company policies.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities- Work with individuals, treatment teams, and directors to write, implement, and monitor behavior support plans that comply with HHSC guidelines and codes; evaluate efficacy and revise plans as needed.
- Serve as a primary resource for staff, providing ongoing in‑services and education on functional behavioral analysis and behavior support techniques.
- Perform direct observations and behavioral assessments; develop written reports and intervention plans.
- Support staff in day‑habilitation centers and facilities to ensure full implementation of behavior programs.
- Track hours and meet billing standards, ensuring comprehensive notes for billable and non‑billable services.
- Respond to critical incidents involving aberrant or illegal behaviors and provide post‑intervention care.
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, or related field from an accredited university.
- Clear license to practice in Texas as an LPC, LPC‑Associate, BCBA, or LCSW (supervision available for LPC‑Associates at no additional cost).
- Experience in direct care for individuals with IDD and familiarity with behavior support protocols.
Primarily local during the business day; occasional out‑of‑area and overnight travel may be expected depending on caseload locations.
