The Patient Referral Coordinator works with our healthcare staff and referring offices to help us provide first-class care to our patients. As the first person our patients will talk to, we need an energetic, team player attitude with a focus on excellent customer service.

• Manage and process new patient referrals from referring offices
• Schedule new and existing patients
• Update referring offices with appointment details
• Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations when needed
• Communicate respectfully and efficiently with all team members, hospital staff and referring offices regarding patient appointments
• Ensure appropriate information is updated and entered correctly in the EHR
• Answer and route phone calls and emails in a professional manner
• Perform other tasks and related work as required

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• 2 years of work experience as a scheduler/referral coordinator performing insurance verification, hospital or outpatient clinical office preferred
• Ability to utilize Excel
• High school Diploma/GED
• Bilingual (Spanish)
