Description

Position at San Antonio Recovery Center - Clinician

San Antonio Recovery Center is looking for a Clinician to actively engage in providing treatment for co‑occurring “Mental Health and Substance Use” disorders. The duties include but are not limited to screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, family therapy, crisis intervention, client education, referrals, reports, record‑keeping, and consultation with other professionals regarding client services and treatment. Clinicians assist clients with developing person‑centered, individualized treatment plans and provide clinical guidance and support that maximizes the client’s ability to manage the symptoms of their co‑occurring disorders, contributing to a life of recovery and wellness.

Job Functions
  • Work collaboratively with multiple health and criminal justice professionals using tact, diplomacy, and discipline
  • Serve as an active participant in any relevant quality improvement and program development initiatives
  • Able to effectively communicate with people at all professional, managerial, and clinical levels and from various backgrounds
  • Complete documentation of individual and group progress notes within 24 hours of service
  • Complete ongoing treatment plan reviews with clients weekly
  • Complete discharge summaries of all clients within 24 hours of discharge
  • Report any complaints or violations of licensing guidelines to clinical supervisor within 24 hours of being notified of violation
  • Complete client individual treatment plan within 24 hours of admission for all levels of care
  • Attend clinical care team meetings based on clients’ needs
  • Demonstrate and foster the company’s Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Meet pre‑employment and maintain all applicable state, national, and job‑related guidelines for reference checking, background screening, panel urine drug screening, health screening, DMV (if applicable), insurance (if applicable), and license/credential verifications
  • Be versatile, flexible, and willing to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Provide daily communication and collaboration with the treatment team of clients on personal caseload
  • Provide individual and family psychotherapy sessions with program clients on personal caseload
  • Provide group psychotherapy utilizing evidence‑based practice material
  • Maintain all ethical standards consistent with professional licensing board in addition to organizational standards
  • Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines
  • Participate in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stay abreast of current technologies and practices
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in mental health counseling, social work or related field
  • 2‑4 years direct experience in the field of mental health and substance use disorders preferred but not required
  • Thorough knowledge of causes and treatments of co‑occurring disorders and training to make decisions based on ethical and professional standards
  • Maintain individual professional license in good standing
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
  • Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers
