Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist
Position Status: Exempt
Reports To: Speech Language Pathologist Department Chair
Key Responsibilities- Independently administer and score assessments, write thorough evaluation and progress reports, as well as plan, conduct, and document therapy sessions.
- Provide assessment and diagnosis of speech and language levels.
- Provide individual and/or group therapy.
- Serve as a resource to and collaborate with teachers and other school staff members.
- Provide information, support, and counseling to parents and families.
- Participate in staffing meetings and Admission Review and Dismissal (ARD) / Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) meetings.
- Maintain thorough ongoing records for students.
- Be willing to travel for consultations, conferences, and presentations.
- Interest in gaining specialized training in working with children with hearing loss in a Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) setting.
- Willingness to work in a collaborative environment.
- Value the opportunity in working with early childhood and school-aged children.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Assist with drop‑off and pick‑up process to ensure the safety, efficiency and smooth transition of students, while enforcing school policies and communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Speech Language Pathology Intern/Fellow or speech pathology graduate student, as needed.

- Education and/or
Experience:
Candidate must either have a Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech‑Language Pathology. - Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Candidate must have training or experience with Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) practices. If not trained or experienced in LSL, must be willing to be trained in LSL. - Certificates, Licenses and Registrations: Maintain state and ASHA licensure requirements, and work towards Listening and Spoken Language Specialist (LSLS Cert. AVT or AV Ed.) certification. If not currently certified, certification must be obtained within 5 years of hire date.

Be able to communicate effectively with both staff, parents and students. - Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk; hear and have good vision. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 0‑30 lbs.
