* Job Description:

** - Be a crucial part of the respiratory care team for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.

- Work under physician guidance with minimal supervision, taking the lead in patient assessments and respiratory care plans.

- Engage in exciting technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures in all areas of the hospital.

* What You’ll Do:

** - Respond to Emergency situations (Code Blue and White) with confidence.

- Manage airways with proficiency, including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning.

- Deliver aerosolized medications efficiently and effectively.

- Set up and operate ventilators, ensuring optimal patient care.

- Provide oral hygiene and maintain airway management devices (BiPAP/CPAP).

- Monitor oxygen delivery devices with a keen eye for therapeutic needs.

- Analyze chest films and perform blood gas collection and analysis with precision.

- Conduct EKG analysis and document accurately and completely.

- Clean and stock equipment and supplies as required.

- Participate in CAP and JC surveys to uphold care standards.
** Advanced Practice Skills May Include:** - Therapeutic gas management and monitoring (including INO and HeO2).

- Conducting Pulmonary Function Testing and assisting in bronchoscopy.

- Performing hemodynamic monitoring and waveform analysis.

- Conducting nocturnal SpO2 evaluations and polysomnography.

- Handling transport duties of patients safely and efficiently.

Skills:

** Credential requirements per licensure.

* Experience:

** 1 - 3 years preferred in a similar setting.

- ** Licenses, Registrations, or

Certifications:

** - RT or RCP License in state of TX required.

- BLS certification (AHA only) required.

- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC required.

- Current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
