The Autism Treatment Center is currently hiring immediately for several positions due to growth. We are actively recruiting for Registered Behavior Technicians for our outpatient clinic.
The mission of the Autism Treatment Center (ATC) is to assist people with autism and related disorders throughout their lives as they learn, play, work, and live in the community.
HoursDependent on the current needs of the program
Monday - Thursday 7:00 am - 5:30 pm
Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
PayWith current Registered Behavior Technician certification - $17.00/hour
Without current Registered Behavior Technician certification - $15.00/hour
Guaranteed 40 hours a week!
PurposeTo provide daily training to teach individuals to attain and maintain the skills necessary to achieve maximum functional independence. Support and promote the rights of Individuals and function effectively as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team.
Essential FunctionsThe RBT/ Behavior Technician’s essential functions are to provide 1:1 or group ABA therapy/ Behavior Support to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities. The RBT/ Behavior technician is the front line and must engage in daily communication with parents/ guardians at pick up or drop off.
Duties include, but are not limited to- Ability to teach consumers.
- Communication skills: ability to communicate clearly and effectively within a team.
- Exhibit patience, maintain a good sense of humor, and be emotionally secure with the ability to handle stressful situations.
- Ability to use good body mechanics in controlling erratic behavior and participating in physical activities with the Consumers as part of their program.
- Mobile, with a quick response time to emergencies.
- Knowledge of personal hygiene and personal care.
- Knowledge of the special needs of Consumers with developmental disabilities.
- Care-giving, nurturing, compassionate, and patient in establishing relationships with Consumers and their families.
- Must be able to read and write.
- Must be reliable in attendance and timeliness to work schedules.
- Practice good organizational skills.
- Must be flexible and maintain a positive attitude.
