Psychologist (Neuropsychology) – Recruitment/Relocation Incentive/EDRP Authorized

SummaryThis role is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). The Announcement is open until April 2 2026, with referral cut‑off dates on the 1st of each month.
Responsibilities- Clinical responsibilities (GS‑13 level – 75–100% of time)
- Provide diagnostic and evaluation services in neuropsychology (cognitive, emotional/behavioral, suicide assessment). Use psychological testing, interview, record review, collateral contact, and personality tests.
- Perform neuropsychological evaluations for patients with cognitive concerns, mental health and medical disorders for diagnostic clarification and treatment planning.
- Offer neuropsychological interventions, emphasizing brief evidence‑based approaches.
- Consult and serve as a resource for other professionals regarding neuropsychological services.
- Assist in selection, training, and supervision of staff at lower grades; assist training of health‑profession trainees in APA‑accredited programs.
- Clinical responsibilities (GS‑12 level – 80–100% of time)
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation services, including neuropsychological testing, under the supervision of a licensed staff psychologist.
- Provide interventions and evidence‑based care with a focus on brief episodes, performing telehealth services when appropriate.
- Offer consultation for neuropsychological service development and assist in staff selection and training.
- Clinical responsibilities (GS‑11 level – 90–100% of time)
- Provide diagnostic and evaluation services for cognitive disorders under close supervision of a licensed staff psychologist.
- Conduct neuropsychological evaluations, interventions, and telehealth services as required.
- U.S. citizenship (non‑citizens may only be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited).
- Doctoral degree in psychology from an APA‑, PCSAS‑, or CPA‑accredited program; or a doctoral degree in any area of psychology plus successful completion of a recognized re‑specialization program.
- Specialty area consistent with the assignment; school psychology is not eligible.
- Completion of an APA or CPA‑accredited internship (or equivalent supervised internship experience) consistent with the assignment.
- Full, current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Non‑licensed candidates may receive temporary appointment as a graduate psychologist at GS‑11 or GS‑12 under 38 U.S.C. § 7405(c)(2)(B) for up to two years.
- Recruitment incentive (sign‑on bonus) and relocation assistance for highly qualified individuals.
- EDRP authorization for eligible former participants.
