Overview

Mobile Case Aide – Jourdon/Ton – Hybrid role at SJRC Texas | Belong. The candidate must reside within Region 8b:
Atascosa, Frio, Wilson, or Karnes County. This is a Hybrid position with travel; travel is required up to 95% of the work week.

• Provide transportation for clients to and from appointments as requested by caseworkers or Unit Supervisor.
• Observe and/or supervise parent and child visits.
• Complete appropriate forms and documentation concerning client contact, including data entry into IMPACT and other agency systems.
• Maintain outgoing paper and/or electronic appointment calendar for scheduling requests made by caseworkers/supervisor.
• Perform clerical duties to maintain unit operations (typing, filing, faxing, copying, answering/receiving telephone inquiries, etc.).
• Promote and demonstrate respect for cultural diversity among coworkers and all work-related contacts.
• Attend work regularly in accordance with agency leave policy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to supervise children of various ages.
• Ability to operate a personal computer, several software packages, and basic office equipment.
• Ability to work in an office supporting several staff members.

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• One-year full-time social services, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, general office, or FPS experience.

• Thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university.

This position requires use of the applicant's personal motor vehicle to complete job functions. Applicants must have a reliable motor vehicle, an acceptable driving record for the past five years, a current valid Texas driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle and passenger or cargo load, and proof of insurance. Applicants must provide proof of driving record, insurance, and license.

• Mobile Case Aides may work with Belong caseworkers to supervise children without placement (CWOP). Primary population is children aged 10 to 17.
• Responsibilities include monitoring children and ensuring needs are met during office or community location stays, covering safety, food, hygiene, education, and recreational activities. Overtime compensation may be earned if outside normal schedule is required.

• Body mobility to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, and walk.
• Moderate to heavy lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to give and receive verbal and written instructions (with or without hearing aids).
• Fine, sustained, and peripheral vision (with or without glasses).
• Ability to work in fast-paced, emotionally challenging environments with children who have moderate to severe needs.
• Minimum of 40 hours per week; may require evenings and weekends.
• Home-like settings with varying noise; typical campus environments are smoke-free except on designated areas.
• Possible injuries if proper body mechanics are not used.
