Medical Assistant FLOATER (Bilingual)

Job Summary – As a Medical Assistant, you will assist the physician with physical examinations, administer immunizations, perform laboratory duties, and maintain patient records. You will also travel to other sites and support quality improvement initiatives.

• Intake and documentation of patient history, vital signs, and symptoms.
• Administer patient immunizations following clinical protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments ordered by the provider.
• Perform laboratory duties, including specimen processing, quality checks, and logbook documentation.
• Travel to other Centro Med sites to support clinical services.
• Assist provider in specialized examinations and procedures as directed.
• Maintain inventory for the supply room and assist the LVN Nurse Supervisor.
• Perform venipuncture as ordered by provider.
• Abide by infection control, hazardous materials, and safety policies.
• Demonstrate competence with all patients and participate in the agency’s Quality Improvement Program.
• Perform other duties as required.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent and completion of a Medical Assisting Program.

Experience: 1 year experience in a clinic or hospital setting preferred.

• Perform essential functions of the position.
• Meet attendance requirements.
• Lift up to 20 pounds unassisted.
