Overview
The Speech Therapist is responsible for the administration, interpretation and evaluation of tests and measurements. The SLP plans and modifies treatment programs for adult patients with clinical competency, as applicable. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications- MINIMUM EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology/Communication Sciences and Disorders
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Completion of Clinical Fellowship. After completion of 3 full years/beginning of 4th year may be eligible for Speech Language Pathologist Level II.
- PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Competency in performing Modified Barium Swallow Exams. Competency in Fiber optic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES). Spanish Proficiency
- REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE

Possession of Intern License from the state of Texas prior to orientation. ALL OTHERS:
Possession of Texas State License and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) - PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: See Preferred Certification Listing
- REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
