Overview

Classification: 1099 Contractor

Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate the client’s needs
  • Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based interventions tailored to the client’s recovery goals.
  • Regularly review and update treatment plans based on client progress and changing needs.
  • Develop and implement relapse prevention strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services for clients experiencing acute distress or relapse episodes.
  • Educate clients and families on early warning signs of relapse and coping mechanisms for sustained recovery.
  • Coordinate referrals to higher levels of care, such as inpatient or residential treatment programs, when necessary.
  • Address co-occurring mental health disorders and trauma-related issues impacting substance use and recovery.
  • Utilize appropriate counseling methods and techniques, adhering to established clinical and ethical standards
Compliance and Documentation
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with federal, state, and organizational policies.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations regarding client information.
  • Participate in audits, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives as required.
Requirements Knowledge and Experience
  • Required
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Must be licensed in Texas as an LPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, or equivalent credential.
  • Minimum of three (3) year of full-time work experience in the social services or substance use disorder and/or co-occurring services.
  • Familiarity in ongoing program of recovery and knowledge of recovery principles.
  • Applicants must have a valid Texas driver license, a minimum of six (6) years of driving experience, and a clean driving record.
  • Applicants must be twenty-three (23) years of age or older to comply with Rise Recovery’s insurance requirements.
  • Must maintain automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of Rise Recovery’s auto insurance carrier if personal vehicle is driven during company business.
Preferred
  • Personal or family experience with long term recovery.
  • Experience in public speaking and training public communities
  • Knowledge of mental health and related co-existing disorders
  • Knowledge of Texas Department of State Health Services rules and regulations pertaining to substance use counseling and treatment.
  • Knowledge of the appropriate standards of care for chemical dependency recovery services.
  • Fluent in both verbal and written communication in English and Spanish
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping, and getting on and off the floor without assistance.
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit for short or long periods of time.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Able to operate standard office technology, equipment and utilize office supplies.
Working Conditions
  • School-based setting with classroom, common areas, and outdoor supervision responsibilities Regularly scheduled hours may vary during periods of workload fluctuation.
  • Full-time non-exempt employees shall be assigned to work 40 hours per week, while part-time employees shall be assigned to work 29 hours or less per week to ensure compliance with FLSA, ADA, and ACA regulations.
  • Occasional night, weekend and holiday hours may be necessary to support additional recovery programming and/or Rise Recovery events.
