POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides professional level skills required in clinical social work, affording direct and indirect services to clients in health settings and working with a multidisciplinary team in evaluation and treatment planning for individuals, families and groups in the outpatient setting. Primary responsibility is providing counseling for patients. Offers a broad spectrum of mental health services to clients with a multiplicity of needs.
Serves as a role model for other staff, establishing priorities for self and peers, ensuring that services are rendered in a prompt, efficient and effective manner. Actively supports the policies and procedures of University Health.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited school, three years current experience in social work and demonstrated level of clinical social work skills indicative of ability to engage in self-regulated practice are required.
LICENSURE
State licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners is required.
