Full Time – Director of Outpatient Services

The RTC – Director of Outpatient Services will be responsible for supervising other outpatient substance abuse treatment professionals who provide counseling and other therapeutic services. The Director of will carry a client caseload and will assist in providing some routine therapeutic services, but will simultaneously oversee the work of other treatment staff associated with the outpatient program.

Responsibilities
  • Complete assessments, treatment plans, counseling sessions, case notes, and discharge plans as required ensuring that high quality services are maintained.
  • Oversee the provision of assessments, treatment plans, counseling sessions, case notes, and discharge plans by other outpatient treatment staff.
  • Maintain case records to reflect course of treatment and provide required documentation.
  • Conduct monthly random chart checks to ensure compliance with benefit providers, DHH, and CARF.
  • Coordinate with outlying agencies, sober-living homes, and non-profits to ensure continuity-of-care for clients leaving outpatient services.
  • Provide aftercare-planning services upon discharge from IOP, as needed. Collect follow-up data from clients who complete IOP.
  • Promotes an environment that facilitates innovation, creative solutions and empowerment.
  • Attend staff meetings, supervisory meetings, and other activities, which ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to outpatient treatment staff, as needed.
  • Fosters teamwork and organizational structures to improve communication and simplify the organization.
  • Coordinates efforts with Facility Administrator to ensure organizational consistency with treatment, operations, and evaluative efforts.
  • Follows all DHH and CARF standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree or higher in mental health field.
  • State Licensure required (LCSW, LPC).
  • Previous experience in the field of substance abuse treatment required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with an acute attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of computer programs and systems such as but not limited to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and email.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
  • Aptitude in resolving issues and conflicts.
  • Excellent critical and forward-thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with office machines (printer, fax, multi-line phone, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of diplomacy and political awareness, and ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines.
  • Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check.
  • Satisfactory drug screen.
