The Referral Coordinator is responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing patient referrals while ensuring timely scheduling, insurance compliance, and exceptional patient service. This role serves as the primary liaison between referring providers, patients, insurance companies, and clinical staff to facilitate seamless access to specialty allergy and immunology care.

• Coordinate and manage patient referrals, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies to obtain necessary referral information.
• Schedule appointments for referred patients and provide them with necessary information regarding their visits.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all referrals and related documentation.
• Follow up with patients and providers to ensure completion of the referral process.
• Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to referrals.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, office staff, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to patients and their families.
• Monitor and report referral activity, trends, and performance metrics to management.
• Assist in the development and implementation of referral policies and procedures.

• This is a full-time position requiring availability Monday through Friday from8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

• The Referral Coordinator must maintain reliable attendance and punctuality to ensure timely processing of patient referrals and uninterrupted support for providers, patients, and referring offices.
• The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced medical environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, along with proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• The ability to work independently, collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams, protect patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations, and adapt to changing workflow demands is required.
